About the position
The Architectural Outside Sales Representative at Angelus Block Company, Inc. is responsible for promoting the company's concrete masonry products to architects, designers, and engineers within the AEC community. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively educate clients on product specifications and applications, aiming to secure project specifications for the company's offerings. The position involves active participation in industry associations and events to enhance the company's visibility and market presence.
Responsibilities
- Promote the company and its products to architects, specifiers, designers, and engineers.
- Provide technical, detail, and specification information to service design professionals.
- Educate clients on product use and applicability to align with design intent.
- Manage published design and specification resources, including in-office seminars.
- Monitor market trends and technical activities related to company products.
- Keep management informed of significant occurrences affecting the company.
- Participate in industry associations and events, including meetings and product shows.
- Develop project information for sales leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred but not required.
- Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Trimble SketchUp and Autodesk Revit applications.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and implementation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Systems and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
