About The Position

The Architectural Specification Writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical specifications for architectural projects, specifically covering Divisions 1-14 of the CSI format. This role involves collaboration with the architectural team, managing product selections, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes. The position requires strong coordination across various disciplines and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Active experience in architectural and technical specification writing.
• A comprehensive understanding of architecture and the building industry.
• An associate or technical degree in architectural systems design or a bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) accreditation from CSI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit project-specific technical specifications (Divisions 1-14, CSI format).
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and product vendors to ensure project quality.
• Review architectural shop drawings and incorporate industry standards and codes.
• Maintain and update master specifications, including reviewing new products.
