About the position

The Technical Designer at TCA Architects will play a crucial role in the production of construction documents for various architectural projects, particularly in multi-family housing and mixed-use developments. This position involves collaborating with the Job Captain to ensure that all project details are accurately represented and compliant with applicable codes. The role emphasizes a blend of technical skills in Revit and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Job Captain in the production of construction documents from cartoon set.
• Prepare all general project data sheets and dimension all plans.
• Note and reference all materials and products used in the projects.
• Draw undeveloped building and wall sections and assemble project details.
• Apply applicable code requirements and assist with back check.
• Assist with plan check corrections and consultant coordination.
• Transfer hand sketched unit floor plans and elevations into Revit.
• Assist the PM or JC with services during construction, including issuing ASIs, RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Revit experience.
• Multi-family experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of building construction Types I, III, and V.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
