About the position

The Architecture Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for teaching courses in Auto CAD and Revit during evening sessions in Spring 2025 at the Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield campuses. The faculty member's responsibilities include delivering course content as per the catalog description and approved syllabus, while incorporating interactive approaches and technologies. The role also emphasizes the importance of diverse lifestyles and cultures in the curriculum, and requires maintaining accurate records and participating in the assessment of learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches assigned courses in accordance with description published in catalog and the approved course syllabus.
  • Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures and national perspectives into courses.
  • Utilizes library resources, writing, and academic technologies in courses.
  • Meets all scheduled class meetings and advises Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences.
  • Maintains accurate grade and attendance records and submits required reports.
  • Submits grades per published deadline.
  • Participates in assessment of learning outcomes and uses results in course planning.
  • Plans in advance for availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
  • Submits progress reports on students and discusses issues with appropriate personnel.
  • Adheres to College policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in the discipline required.
  • Some teaching experience is required.
  • Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.

Nice-to-haves

  • Teaching experience at the community college level.
