About the position

The Architecture Director Level III position at Recruiting Heroes LLC involves providing expert support to the US Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC) in the areas of space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice. The role focuses on the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power, requiring a deep understanding of various operational environments. The director will be responsible for advising on cost, schedule, and performance matters, as well as drafting and revising critical acquisition documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Revise or provide draft JCIDS and acquisition documentation to the applicable Government program manager and support the presentation of products to internal and external customers.
  • Provide a draft SME-level technical and/or programmatic status report of any individual program or of the portfolio, in coordination with the Government program manager, upon request.
  • Identify areas of improvement, including acquisition process improvements, and provide actionable recommendations for reducing risk.
  • Maintain awareness of current program schedule, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide program assessments based on identified risks.
  • Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements, including technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and program conferences.
  • Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments.

Requirements

  • MA/MS degree required.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in space acquisitions and engineering.
  • Experience utilizing the MS Office Suite of Tools.
  • Specialized Tool Experience: DOORS or similar.
  • Must have TS/SCI and current SCI access.
