Architecture & Engineering Intern

About the position

This internship position at Cook Group Inc. is a 12-week paid opportunity located in Bloomington, Indiana, designed for students interested in a career in the Life Sciences field. The internship runs from mid-May through mid-August and offers hands-on experience in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry, with projects that include measuring existing areas, producing construction documents, and updating facility nomenclature in Revit models. Interns will have access to various benefits, including a fitness center and a housing stipend, and will be assigned a mentor to guide them throughout the internship.

Responsibilities

• Measuring existing areas and buildings.
• Working with a team to produce construction documents.
• Collaborating with Facility Managers to establish Nomenclature standards.
• Updating Facility Nomenclature in Revit Models.
• Creating and maintaining Revit families and schedules.

Requirements

• Interest in a career in the Life Sciences field.
• Willingness to take initiative and work well with others.
• Students entering their Junior or Senior year or entering graduate school; recent graduates are also eligible.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% as necessary to other facilities.
• Regular and punctual attendance required.
• Adherence to safety requirements is mandatory.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations.
