The Area Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and functionality of apartment units and property facilities within a designated region. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President (RVP), this position requires the technician to travel among various properties to perform essential maintenance and repairs. The technician collaborates closely with on-site maintenance teams, operating under the general supervision of the property manager and the direct supervision of the service manager. Key technical responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as addressing issues related to electrical appliances, plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The technician is also responsible for preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants. The successful candidate will embody and reinforce the core values of Mid-America Apartment Communities (MAA), which emphasize appreciation for individuality, open communication, and integrity in all actions.
