The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of a collection of 2-10 hotels. This role involves effectively soliciting and securing new accounts for all assigned hotels, working closely with the respective Directors of Sales and hotel leadership to achieve revenue and market share goals. The focus of sales may vary based on the respective properties assigned, including Leisure, Business Travel, Group, and SMERF segments. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their job responsibilities, with overtime applicable for OEM associates, calculated accordingly. The Area Sales Manager will proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and Groups as applicable by property. This position requires the individual to grow existing relationships with assigned accounts and monitor and evaluate trends within the market segment. The Area Sales Manager must approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner, adhering to Aimbridge Hospitality's established regulations, company standards, sales standards, and sales metrics. Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments, maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations, and may assist in implementing or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes. Attendance at daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as any other functions required by management, is also expected. The role may involve performing any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
