Tharaldson Hospitality is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Area Corporate Sales Manager to join our team, overseeing the Livermore Homewood Suites & Residence Inn and the Pleasanton TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites. This role is pivotal in advancing our sales strategy and ensuring the highest standards of service in hospitality. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive marketing plan and sales budget in collaboration with the Area Director of Sales and General Managers. You will provide essential sales training to hotel staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. Analyzing revenue management strategies will be a key part of your responsibilities, utilizing tools such as Star Reports and demand analysis to inform decision-making. You will also be tasked with scheduling sales appointments, conducting cold calls, and meticulously organizing and tracking sales data to drive performance. Your role will also involve completing requests from the Area Director of Sales and General Managers, performing the functions of the Director of Sales in their absence, and executing any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain marketing plan and sales budget with the Area Director of Sales and General Managers.
  • Provide sales training to hotel staff as applicable.
  • Analyze Revenue Management strategy using tools such as Star Reports and demand analysis.
  • Schedule sales appointments and conduct a required amount of cold calls.
  • Organize, maintain, and track sales data effectively.
  • Complete requests from the Area Director of Sales and General Managers and other management personnel as applicable.
  • Perform functions of Director of Sales in their absence.
  • Execute all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of similar experience in Hotel Sales preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Brand Specific Sales Tools and Systems.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Strong prospecting and networking skills are essential.
  • Open availability for scheduling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Brand experience preferred but not required.
  • Education preferred of Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
