About the position

The Area Director of Clinical Operations at Gentiva Hospice is responsible for overseeing clinical services and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to hospice care. This leadership role involves directing patient services, monitoring adherence to policies, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance revenue performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for clinical services and compliance with regulations.
• Direct and coordinate all direct and indirect patient services.
• Monitor agency level adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement annual education requirements for clinical staff.
• Coordinate patient records and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with corporate staff, Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director regularly.
• Develop and expand revenue performance.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the agency.

Requirements

• Registered BSN preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of residence.
• 5 years clinical experience; minimum 3 years in hospice.
• 2 years previous managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge in hospice operations.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned area routinely, approximately 75%.
