About the position

The Area Director of Clinical Operations at Gentiva Hospice is responsible for overseeing clinical services and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to home visits for patients. This role involves directing and coordinating patient services, monitoring adherence to policies, and developing educational requirements for clinical staff. The position also includes collaboration with corporate staff and other key personnel to enhance revenue performance and manage day-to-day operations of the agency.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all direct and indirect patient services.
• Monitor agency level adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement annual education requirements for all clinical staff.
• Coordinate patient records and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with corporate staff, Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director on a regular basis.
• Develop and expand revenue performance.
• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the agency.

Requirements

• Registered BSN preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of residence.
• 5 years clinical experience; minimum 3 years of experience in hospice.
• 2 years previous managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge in the area of hospice operations.
• Knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned area routinely, approximately 75%.
