About the position

The Area Director Clinical Operations at Gentiva Hospice is responsible for overseeing clinical services, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing the delivery of home health services to patients. This role involves directing patient services, monitoring adherence to policies, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and revenue performance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all direct and indirect patient services.
• Monitor agency level adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement annual education requirements for all clinical staff.
• Coordinate patient records and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate with corporate staff, Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director regularly.
• Develop and expand revenue performance.
• Share responsibility for the supervision of day-to-day operations of the agency.

Requirements

• Registered BSN preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of residence.
• 5 years clinical experience; minimum 3 years of experience in hospice.
• 2 years previous managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge in the area of hospice operations.
• Knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Able to travel throughout the assigned area routinely, approximately 75%.
