About the position

The Area Director of Operations at Belmont Village Senior Living is responsible for overseeing multiple senior living communities within a designated area. This leadership role focuses on achieving strategic business objectives, including occupancy growth, profitability, staffing, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The director will work closely with regional and community leadership to enhance resident and employee satisfaction while ensuring high-quality care across all facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communities according to state regulations, company policy and operational standards
  • Oversee financial objectives for assigned communities including but not limited to occupancy and rate growth, labor expenses, and capital expenditures budget
  • Work collaboratively with the SVP of Regulatory Affairs and Quality to respond to any licensing visits and ensure an appropriate and timely corrective action plan is identified as needed
  • Drive achievement targets for resident, family and employee engagement, satisfaction and loyalty
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Team members to achieve positive outcomes within the assigned area
  • Participate in the interview, selection, training, management and mentorship of community leadership
  • Prepare regular operations reports for SVP of Regional Operations
  • On-site community support during leadership transitions and challenges
  • Maintain and support a culture of hospitality and exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA, or Master's degree preferred
  • RCFE certification
  • 5+ years of Assisted Living and Memory Care operations management experience with budgetary responsibilities
  • Prior experience managing multiple locations simultaneously strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to conform to applicable laws, rules and industry regulations
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group
  • Proven experience in formulating policies, developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area and manage a 24/7 operational schedule
  • Proficiency in various computer programs and applications
