About the position

The Area Employee Relations Manager at DHL Supply Chain plays a crucial role in providing strategic counsel and advisory services to leaders on business and people-related issues. This position is responsible for the development and execution of associate relations programs and initiatives across North America, ensuring a positive workplace environment for associates. The role requires a strong focus on integrity, trust, and customer service within the Human Resources function.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Director Workforce Strategy to implement labor relations programs across North America.
  • Design and lead strategic direction for associate relations programs and processes.
  • Integrate organization-wide associate relations interventions into local operations.
  • Manage and evaluate associate relations metrics and make recommendations.
  • Analyze issues related to DHL Supply Chain policies and best practices.
  • Support the integration of associate involvement and communication principles into actionable steps.
  • Conduct and monitor HR/labor relations audits to ensure compliance and positive relations.
  • Implement post-audit action plans developed by HR and Workforce Strategy Teams.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and partner with HR to address issues.
  • Establish techniques to increase involvement and improve recognition across Business Units.
  • Champion effective communications to enhance the operating culture.
  • Set strategic direction with senior management on associate relations issues.
  • Shape organization-wide associate relations structure to engage and retain associates.
  • Analyze climate and empower managers regarding labor relations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for HR and leadership teams.
  • Participate in projects related to business pursuits and associate relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, with emphasis on labor relations and/or associate relations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
