About the position

The Area Executive Chef will oversee culinary operations for airport lounges, primarily focusing on American Airlines and British Airways lounges in New York City and other East Coast locations. This role involves a combination of hands-on culinary management, training, and menu development, ensuring high culinary standards and compliance with health regulations. The position requires a strong culinary background and the ability to create fine-dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and support of culinary operations for airport lounges.
  • Conduct culinary training and mentoring for kitchen staff.
  • Develop and write menus, ensuring adherence to culinary standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and other health regulations.
  • Manage culinary rollouts and training for unit managers.
  • Create and deliver a fine-dining experience for elite guests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts.
  • 3 years of management experience in a culinary setting.
  • 3 years of functional experience in culinary operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-unit culinary training.
