About the position

The Area Leader (Manager) Trainee position at 7-Eleven involves overseeing 12-14 store locations, focusing on training employees to deliver exceptional customer service. This role is part of a comprehensive training program lasting approximately 12 months, with significant career growth potential within the company. Area Leaders are expected to manage operations effectively, with opportunities to advance into key operational roles within 2-5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 12-14 store locations and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Train and supervise Store Leaders to enhance team performance.
  • Implement merchandising programs and control cash and inventory.
  • Motivate team members and promote a positive work environment.
  • Focus on profit and loss management, including budget planning and maximizing sales.
  • Set performance goals and objectives, monitoring results with upper management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or 5+ years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial.
  • Ability to relocate upon completion of training.
  • Valid Driver's License from the state of residence with automotive liability insurance during employment.
  • Experience in staffing, training, and supervising teams.
  • Strong skills in profit and loss management, budget planning, and expense control.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.
