About the position

The Area Leisure Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and growing leisure sales revenue production across three unique properties: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection, The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, and Prince Waikiki. This position is crucial for developing, promoting, and securing business from the travel agent and consortia market while also supporting the growth of the wholesale segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leisure sales, hospitality, or business management, with a particular focus on luxury hotels. In this role, the Area Leisure Sales Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with key accounts and ensuring that sales targets are met. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to capture market share in the leisure segment. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as they will be working closely with various stakeholders, including travel agents, consortia, and internal teams. The position is based on either Oahu or the Island of Hawaii, and candidates must be willing to relocate if they are not currently based in Hawaii. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for this role. The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually, and the company is committed to equal opportunity employment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the leisure market segment.
  • Experience in leisure sales, hospitality, or business management, particularly in luxury hotels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to be personable, tactful, collaborative, patient, flexible, proactive, and driven.
  • Valid driver's license and access to own vehicle.
