About the position

In this role, you will embody the principle of 'Do The Right Thing' by protecting people, assets, and brands within Gap Inc. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on creating a safe atmosphere for employees, teams, and customers, which is essential for driving brand power and fostering enduring customer relationships. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop and implement an effective Asset Protection strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with store leadership to develop and implement an Asset Protection strategy to mitigate risk and loss within Gap Inc stores.
  • Conduct investigations and utilize all available resources to identify and resolve crime activity in assigned locations.
  • Work with store personnel to identify inventory shortage opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Determine the assignment of appropriate Asset Protection resources (i.e. agents, technology, etc.) to address shortage reduction opportunities.
  • Adapt team priorities to respond to customer and business partner needs.
  • Accountable for team performance through teaching, coaching, and providing meaningful feedback to build capabilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide Asset Protection leadership to drive results, coach and develop direct reports, and collaborate with others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Ability to actively learn and immediately apply learnings into decisions and behaviors.
  • Time management and ability to prioritize/multitask.
  • Probe beyond the stated situation, identify underlying issues, and consider possible alternatives.
