About the position

The Area Manager for Foodservice Sales is responsible for developing independent account business with a focus on profitability through new sales and account penetration. This role involves promoting and selling company-branded products, meeting sales objectives, and supporting customer service activities to enhance visibility and market share. The position requires effective territory management and collaboration with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers.
  • Sample products with existing and potential customers.
  • Plan general sales strategy including time and territory management.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations to grow sales and profit margins.
  • Set up new customer accounts and determine pricing.
  • Perform initial follow-up work with customers to ensure delivery and product satisfaction.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and coordinate efforts to resolve problems.
  • Build additional business with current customers through product penetration.
  • Monitor accounts for compliance with credit terms and follow up on any issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
