About the position

The Area Manager role at Amazon involves leading a team of hourly workers in the WW Operations network, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The position is crucial for maintaining customer expectations and ensuring timely delivery of orders. The role encompasses managing workflows across the first, middle, and last miles of the delivery process, while also providing opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in an environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

Requirements

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
