About the position

The Area Manager II for Georgia Power in Tifton, GA is responsible for establishing and maintaining the company's influence and presence in the region. This role involves building relationships with government officials and community leaders to ensure favorable legislation and regulations, coordinating operations across various functional areas, and promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company and the community.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Georgia Power's influence and presence in assigned counties.
• Build relationships with government officials and community leaders to ensure positive legislation and regulations.
• Coordinate operations activities across all functional areas within the assigned territory.
• Support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company.
• Participate in community events and activities outside of normal working hours.
• Utilize resources to maximize influence in community and economic development.
• Lead special project teams as requested by the Southwest region.

Requirements

• Knowledge of functional areas including Customer Service, Community and Economic Development, Sales, Power Delivery, External Affairs, Generation, Finance & Accounting.
• Ability to develop strategic plans and translate them into actionable objectives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in community engagement and service on community boards.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
