About the position

As an Area Manager at Right At School, you will play a pivotal role in managing multiple in-school enrichment and childcare programs within the South San Francisco School District. This position is designed for a driven individual who shares a passion for inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and providing parents with peace of mind. You will be directly accountable for the operations, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability of each site under your management. Your responsibilities will include acting as the liaison between program managers, educators, coaches, parents, parent organizations, school administration, and licensing agencies. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of Right At School's curriculum, ensuring high-quality program delivery and continuous improvement in all aspects of program operations. You will maintain direct profit and loss responsibility for the assigned programs, actively seeking out marketing opportunities to promote Right At School programs at relevant school and community events. Additionally, you will ensure that all sites and programs meet state-specific licensing requirements and implement effective standardized operating procedures to drive program quality. Building positive, collaborative relationships with school administration, parent-teacher organizations, outside vendor staff, and Right At School staff, including Central Office support staff, will be crucial to your success. You will also manage key HR functions, including scheduling, hiring, and disciplining employees, while supporting and promoting employee development and training through coaching and mentoring. Communication with staff regarding classroom issues and standard operating procedures will be an essential part of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Market Right At School programs and seek out opportunities to promote the program at relevant school and community events.
  • Ensure Right At School sites/programs meet state-specific licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years as a multi-unit manager.
  • Direct P & L experience.
  • Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
