About the position

Nevada State Bank, a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A., is seeking an Area Mortgage Sales Manager to join our Mortgage team in Las Vegas, NV. This position is crucial for managing and coordinating the activities of residential construction and mortgage lenders and staff. The Area Mortgage Sales Manager will be responsible for training, motivating, and coaching assigned personnel to enhance sales productivity. This role involves monitoring and evaluating production and goals, ensuring that the team meets its targets while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. The Area Mortgage Sales Manager will also be responsible for personal loan production and the overall sales effort of the assigned team. This includes conducting mortgage sales staff meetings, educating staff on new and existing products and programs, and planning, implementing, and developing promotional and marketing initiatives. The manager will play a key role in expanding the company's sales and service culture, training sales staff as needed, and may also solicit and originate residential construction and mortgage loans. Additionally, the manager will be tasked with obtaining and analyzing pertinent financial and credit data, managing and mitigating risk within the team, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate activities of residential construction and mortgage lenders and staff.
  • Train, motivate, coach, and provide guidance to assigned area personnel to increase sales productivity.
  • Monitor and evaluate production and goals for the team.
  • Responsible for personal loan production and the overall sales effort of the assigned team.
  • Conduct mortgage sales staff meetings and educate staff on new and existing products and programs.

  • Expand the company's sales and service culture.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of banking, mortgage lending, sales, and/or public relations or other directly related experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing, public relations, sales, and service.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of mortgage banking services and products.
  • Solid customer service and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to coach and mentor mortgage staff.
