About the position

The Area Production Manager at Agropur is responsible for supervising and mentoring supervisors and operators within the production department. This role focuses on enhancing operational excellence through training, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The manager will analyze data trends, coach staff, and ensure the facility meets food safety regulations while maximizing production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and train supervisors and operators in the production department.
• Provide technical knowledge to operators to enhance their skills and job performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and incident prevention through training and coaching.
• Support operational excellence using improvement tools such as AOS, Run to Target, and Focused Improvement.
• Analyze laboratory data and trends, reacting accordingly to improve processes.
• Coach staff to follow company standard Good Manufacturing Practices during production runs.
• Maintain compliance with food safety programs and HACCP regulations.
• Manage reporting of yields and recovery, maximizing production opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
