About the position

The Area Sales & Design Specialist role focuses on building relationships with Home Depot stores and customers to drive sales and design solutions for storage problems. This position offers a competitive salary plus commission, with significant growth potential for high performers. The role includes hands-on training and the opportunity to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Responsibilities

  • Commit to assigned Home Depot stores and build lasting relationships by working daily in those stores.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute lead-generating events regularly.
  • Work independently and self-direct to build relationships.
  • Help customers solve storage problems with passion and expertise.
  • Train others and communicate product knowledge effectively.
  • Listen to customers and address their needs appropriately.
  • Utilize computer skills and learn new software as needed.
  • Develop trusting relationships within the district.
  • Leverage the CRM (Salesforce) system for customer interactions and next steps.
  • Partner with Home Depot leaders to provide updates on sales performance, merchandising, and displays.
  • Ensure Tuff Shed displays are presentable, clean, and maintained, with updated signage.
  • Embrace and enjoy using technology in daily tasks.
  • Be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

  • Proven relationship-building skills.
  • Current valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Proven computer skills and aptitude to learn new software.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
