About the position

The Area Sales Director at Flowers Foods is responsible for supporting Independent Distributors in managing customer relationships and driving sales growth. This role involves developing sales strategies, engaging with customers, and analyzing sales data to enhance business partnerships. The position requires independent work with minimal supervision, focusing on building brand recognition and expanding the customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Support Independent Distributors in managing customer relationships and sales activities.
  • Develop recommended sales strategies to build sales and brand recognition.
  • Interact personally with customers and Independent Distributors in the market.
  • Review and analyze sales and marketing data to provide updates and recommendations to the Market VP.
  • Plan and maintain a schedule of regular key account visits to build rapport and generate increased sales.
  • Collaborate with Market VP and Distributor Enablement to analyze market opportunities.
  • Conduct weekly reviews with Market VP to monitor sales data and personal growth objectives.
  • Stay current on consumer insights and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Work with Independent Distributors on acquiring new customers and product promotions.
  • Track market conditions for customers and evaluate promotional effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
