About the position

Sonendo, Inc. is a medical technology company dedicated to transforming dentistry through innovative solutions and Sound Science®. We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Arizona region to join our high-performance team. This role is crucial as it embodies our core values and is responsible for driving sales growth within a defined territory. The ideal candidate will not only focus on achieving sales targets but will also align their approach with Sonendo's strategic goals and corporate vision. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be tasked with creating consistent sales growth for both console and consumable products. This involves recruiting new customers and ensuring their utilization of our products for a minimum of three months. You will support existing accounts, establish new ones, and organize your daily work schedule to effectively reach out to potential customers. Your sales efforts will be directed towards ideal dental customer segments, and you will be responsible for submitting orders based on our pricing and product literature. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will engage in funnel management, conduct monthly and annual territory analyses, and monitor competition by gathering marketplace information. You will also be expected to resolve customer complaints, maintain professional knowledge through workshops and publications, and ensure compliance with all company policies. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining records on area and customer sales, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create consistent sales growth (console and consumable) within a defined territory.
  • Drive and maintain new customer utilization for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Recruit prospective GentleWave customers to professional education activities.
  • Support existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules.
  • Focus sales efforts by targeting ideal dental customer segments.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Adhere to activity related to funnel management, work plans, and territory analyses using available tools.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and delivery schedules.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of directly related sales experience required.
  • Successful track record of selling disruptive medical device products and/or procedures.
  • Ability to engage and service customers to drive continued product utilization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Technology proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Salesforce.com.
  • Valid driver's license.
