About the position

The Area Sales Manager for TAG Heuer is responsible for driving the growth of the Caribbean and Cruise Ship wholesale business. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with retailers and key partners, increasing market share, and achieving sales targets through effective merchandising and assortment strategies. The position requires a blend of business development, sales, marketing, and training responsibilities to ensure the brand's success in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a plan to achieve sales targets (sell-in and sell-out)
  • Stay connected to the competitive landscape, market trends, and broader economy to find opportunities and threats and propose new projects
  • Review and optimize brand distribution and recommend account or POS openings and closures
  • Track and analyze business performance (sales by door, product collection, turnover, market share) and adjust sales and marketing actions accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with retailer use of Warranty Activation System (WAS) with a 100% completion rate for all watch products sold
  • Collect and share feedback from retailers, consumers, and competitors regarding sales, products, and marketing activity
  • Build strong relationships with customers at all levels to drive sell-out in all doors
  • Lead commercial negotiations to define sales objectives with customers and negotiate space, location, and investments
  • Regularly visit points of sale to provide support and outstanding customer service
  • Ensure smooth and efficient cash collection in collaboration with the finance team
  • Implement, track, report on, and reconcile impactful incentive programs for sales associates
  • Implement a co-op marketing plan with each retailer in line with brand strategy
  • Identify and propose opportunities for events, window/shop animations, or advertising to promote brand awareness
  • Ensure online brand presence is consistent and meets e-corner criteria
  • Support customers in implementing merchandising plan-o-grams and displays
  • Regularly check the state of POS material and fix/replace as needed
  • Consult with retailers to define product assortments based on trends and objectives
  • Implement an efficient order/replenishment process with each customer
  • Regularly assess stock situation at POS to ensure inventory requirements are met
  • Propose solutions to address identified risks and issues with inventory
  • Lead all aspects of and supervise retailer stock with current brand product assortment
  • Share product knowledge and convey passion for TAG Heuer to sales associates
  • Implement the corporate training strategy in every POS
  • Deliver in-store trainings to improve brand and product knowledge
  • Partner with Training Manager to establish global objectives and reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of previous wholesale or retail equivalent experience
  • Understanding of the specifics of Caribbean and Cruise Ship luxury retail market
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Language Skills: English; Spanish and French preferred
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with self-reliant and independent work habits
  • Ability to run multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Experience in data and market trends analysis
  • Sales training and presentation experience
  • Professional communication skills including timely correspondence with customers and co-workers
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Creativity to develop new ways of achieving business objectives
