About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Intel's Central Region is a leadership role focused on driving sales and developing relationships across various customer segments. The position requires a dynamic individual with a strong sales background, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to lead a team of Field Sales Engineers and collaborate with other departments to achieve sales goals and foster growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Field Sales Engineers and indirect reports.
  • Develop and execute a strategy and vision for the territory to achieve sales goals.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Develop and present sales reports including revenue and design-win forecasts.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and terminations to improve field activities.
  • Facilitate communication between the Sales team and other teams across the company.
  • Act as a mentor by coaching and instilling a positive mindset.
  • Drive the Altera Sales Process to ensure high-quality proposals that meet customer expectations.
  • Build technical and business credibility with customers' management.
  • Establish and own regional relationships with channel managers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry
  • 3+ years of management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical or relevant business degree
  • 5+ years of experience or knowledge with semiconductor technologies
  • FPGA sales or technical experience
