About the position

The Area Sales Manager for B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is responsible for driving sales and revenue for the Crowne Plaza Crystal City and Holiday Inn National Airport hotels. This role focuses on achieving catering and room night sales goals, enhancing client relationships, and ensuring high standards of service in alignment with the company's mission and quality pledge. The position requires active participation in direct sales efforts and collaboration with the Director of Sales, emphasizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Achieve catering, sales room night, and revenue goals through business development and account management.
• Maximize space potential and food and beverage minimums.
• Pursue up-selling opportunities to enhance revenue.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships through community involvement and local organizations.
• Support management of catering expenses to maximize hotel profitability.
• Assist in preparing and managing the department budget.
• Ensure client satisfaction by meeting catering service standards and responding to client needs.
• Resolve client complaints and concerns in a courteous manner.
• Utilize sales and catering tools to report and forecast sales data accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all regulations and procedures.
• Demonstrate effective self/workload management and clear communication skills.

Requirements

• Prior direct sales experience in a full-service hotel of a comparable or upscale brand.
• Experience using Delphi CRM system.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve with employees and guests.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
