About the position

The Area Sales Manager for ENT at Medtronic is responsible for selling surgical technologies and products to hospitals and physicians within a designated territory. This role involves conducting face-to-face sales calls, executing sales action plans, and providing support to clinical personnel in surgical environments. The position requires a strong focus on achieving sales quotas and objectives while maintaining company-owned inventory and property.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and other key purchase influencers.
  • Demonstrate, in-service, and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies capital and disposable products.
  • Execute Sales Action Plans successfully.
  • Plan and strategize sales calls to relevant hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors' offices.
  • Provide support and service to clinical personnel related to products in a surgical environment.
  • Maintain company-owned property and inventory in good working condition.
  • Report competitive activity within the territory to the Region Manager.
  • Maintain all records and reports as requested in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience Clinical Specialist or Sales Rep I experience plus 2 years of prior clinical or medical sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful medical sales record, preferably with ENT products.
  • Knowledge of ENT assigned product/therapy customer base.
  • Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills.
