About the position

The Area Sales Manager for ENT at Medtronic is responsible for selling surgical technologies and products to hospitals, physicians, and other approved customers within a designated territory. This role involves executing sales strategies, conducting face-to-face sales calls, and providing support to clinical personnel in surgical environments. The position requires a strong focus on achieving sales quotas and objectives while maintaining company-owned inventory and property.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and key purchase influencers.
  • Execute Sales Action Plans effectively.
  • Plan and strategize sales calls to relevant hospital departments and outpatient surgery centers.
  • Attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory.
  • Provide support and service to clinical personnel in surgical environments.
  • Maintain company-owned property and inventory in good condition.
  • Report competitive activity to the Region Manager and maintain records and reports in a timely manner.
  • Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those years in medical sales; or
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience Clinical Specialist or Sales Rep I experience plus 2 years of prior clinical or medical sales experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful medical sales record, preferably with ENT products
  • Knowledge of ENT assigned product/therapy customer base
  • Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Preference for local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience.
