About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Food Service at McCain Foods is responsible for driving sales growth through effective management of Distributor and Broker relationships. This role involves coaching Foodservice Sales Representatives (FSRs) to achieve their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and coordinating sales activities to ensure profitable growth across McCain's portfolio of products. The position requires a strong focus on leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with various sales teams to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Build sales through Distributor and Broker relationships.
• Coach and develop Foodservice Sales Representatives (FSRs).
• Manage and execute business plans to deliver volume and net sales targets.
• Oversee Sales Agency Partners and distribution customers to ensure effective promotion and marketing.
• Coordinate activities between McCain Direct Selling teams and Sales Agency leaders.
• Adhere to the annual calendar for promotions and training activities.
• Monitor and manage Agency administrative performance to meet McCain objectives.
• Manage region T&E budgets to optimize ROI.
• Demonstrate principled leadership in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of foodservice sales experience.
• Knowledge of the foodservice industry.
• Experience in broker management.
• Strong work ethic and self-starter capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, and communication skills.
• Previous direct management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Valid state driver's license.
• Willingness to manage a large geographical territory with flexible scheduling and regular overnight travel.
