About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Performance Foodservice is responsible for developing independent account business in the Kissimmee / St. Cloud area, focusing on profitability through new sales and account penetration. This role involves promoting and selling company-branded products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting customer service activities for regional and national chain customers. The position offers opportunities for growth within a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers.
  • Sample products with existing and potential customers.
  • Plan general sales strategy including time and territory management.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations to customers.
  • Grow sales and profit margins to meet established goals.
  • Set up new customer accounts and determine pricing.
  • Perform initial follow-up work with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other center personnel to resolve customer problems.
  • Build additional business with current customers through product penetration.
  • Monitor accounts for compliance with credit terms and follow up on any issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 2+ years sales or restaurant operator experience
  • Valid Drivers License

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing, or related area
  • 3+ years foodservice sales or restaurant operator experience
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
