About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales revenue targets and growing market share for Axogen's nerve repair products within a specified territory. This role involves promoting, selling, and servicing the product portfolio while practicing ethical territory management. The Area Sales Manager will work from a home office, travel to customer sites, and focus on developing both existing and new accounts, training medical staff, and meeting sales management expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans to achieve/exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain and grow business with specific targeted accounts/customers.
  • Identify competitive accounts to establish and promote new business.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure maximum coverage of targeted accounts.
  • Develop and act on plans identifying growth opportunities within current and competitive customer accounts.
  • Control and manage expenses in a cost-effective manner for the company.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key decision makers and customers.
  • Plan and deliver effective sales presentations to customers.
  • Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Proactively develop knowledge and skills in clinical, technical, product, and sales areas.
  • Adhere to all company policies and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years sales experience in medical sales
  • Operating Room sales experience
  • Orthopedic and/or Medical device experience preferred
  • Must reside in the territory
