About the position

The Area Sales Manager I, Commercial at Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with the architectural, engineering, and specifier community to promote Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC products. This role focuses on increasing specifications and sales within an assigned territory, requiring strong technical sales skills and the ability to educate various stakeholders about HVAC solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with local architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Educate stakeholders on applying CITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow systems and other Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC products.
  • Deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and commercial sales channels.
  • Conduct occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members.
  • Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and trade shows.
  • Enter and maintain customer information, activities, and quotations in SalesForce CRM.
  • Manage project pipeline ensuring tracking within the SalesForce CRM system.
  • Travel up to 40% for company meetings and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of technical sales experience.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC commercial sales channels, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC application and design.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HVAC sales.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
