About the position

This position is crucial for driving the adoption of CITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow systems and other HVAC products offered by the company. In this role, the Area Sales Manager will perform direct and joint sales calls to establish and strengthen relationships with local architects, engineers, and contractors. The individual will be tasked with delivering educational presentations to these groups, ensuring they are well-informed about the benefits and applications of METUS products. Additionally, the position involves occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members, which is essential for maintaining strong client relationships and understanding their needs. Participation in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and trade shows is also a key function of this role, as it helps to expand the company's reach and influence within the industry. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for entering and maintaining customer information, activities, and quotations in the SalesForce Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) or other required systems. Managing the project pipeline and ensuring that all activities are tracked within the SalesForce CRM system is critical for success in this position. The role requires a willingness to travel up to 40% for various company meetings and training, both domestically and potentially internationally, to enhance professional development and company representation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and commercial sales channels.
  • Conduct occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members.
  • Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and trade shows.
  • Enter and maintain customer information, activities, and quotations in SalesForce CRM.
  • Manage project pipeline ensuring tracking within the SalesForce CRM system.
  • Travel up to 40% for company meetings and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of technical sales experience.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC commercial sales channels, engineers, and contractors preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient public speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC application and design is preferred.
  • Must reside in the Business Unit Geography.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
