About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Immunology in the Mid-Atlantic region is responsible for promoting and utilizing CSL Behring products while managing all aspects of territory business development. This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with key customers, including healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, specialty pharmacies, and distribution partners. The Area Manager will create demand for promoted products, demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, and support patient education programs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promote products and increase usage to select call points, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, patient support groups, distributors, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Develop customer advocates for promoted products.
  • Responsible for the development of new accounts and the growth of existing accounts through solid customer relationships and effective territory management skills.
  • Develop and implement territory business plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Implement key marketing programs to increase market share of promoted products.
  • Maintain proper call frequency with assigned targets and update as needed.
  • Stay abreast of current clinical technical literature and marketplace issues.
  • Implement CSL selling model with effective customer call skills.
  • Actively work with patient support groups following CSL Behring SOPs.
  • Represent CSL Behring at local customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field.
  • Minimum of five years' pharmaceutical sales or relevant experience.
  • Experience with patient groups, specialty pharmacies, and distributors is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective management of a large geography.
