About the position
The Area Sales Manager for Life Science at Georg Fischer LLC is responsible for driving sales and developing relationships within the Life Science market segment. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote GF's products and services. The position requires significant travel and focuses on building direct relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, research laboratories, and engineering firms.
Responsibilities
- Identify and generate sales leads within the Life Science market segment.
- Develop direct relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, university research laboratories, hospitals, government agencies, engineering firms, and contractors.
- Manage key accounts and collaborate with GF Specification agents in the assigned territory.
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and establish connections.
- Prepare monthly highlight reports and develop annual business plans for the territory.
- Utilize CRM and project search engines to gather information and drive specifications.
- Deliver customer presentations, trainings, and product demonstrations.
- Monitor market trends and report actions to the team.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and participate in thought leadership exercises.
- Coordinate efforts with other Segment Managers and Product Managers to support territory objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Five years of industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- In-depth knowledge of company products and services.
