About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Mobile Industrial Robots is responsible for driving sales growth along the Western seaboard by developing and managing relationships with distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs. This role involves supporting existing partners, establishing new partnerships, and generating sales through effective technical solutions in the manufacturing and logistics industries. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to communicate effectively with partners and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales through a network of partners including distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs.
  • Support and develop distributors through the sales process, including project qualification and successful robot demonstrations.
  • Establish new partnerships in the region and manage customer relationships.
  • Participate in PR and marketing events to promote products.
  • Prepare and execute sales and marketing budgets.
  • Focus on reporting, volume planning, and forecasting using existing reporting tools.
  • Build rapport with key decision makers and develop continual knowledge about customers.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of sales experience in distribution and/or manufacturing.
  • Strong automation sales experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrable success in advising on or selling technical products.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Highly motivated with infectious energy and passion.
  • Ability to create trust among dealers through long-term, methodical, and persistent effort.
