About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Mobile Industrial Robots is responsible for driving sales growth along the Western seaboard of the United States. This role involves developing and managing relationships with a network of partners, including distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs, primarily within the manufacturing and logistics sectors. The position requires a strong technical background to support partners and generate sales through effective communication and market intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Establish new partnerships (distributors, integrators, OEMs, Global Account End Users) in the region.
  • Support existing distributors as they go through our sales process (Qualify Project, Successful Robot Demo, Proof of Concept, Integration).
  • Conduct visits to end customers.
  • Participate in PR and marketing events.
  • Prepare and execute on sales and marketing budgets.
  • Manage customer relationships and develop continual knowledge about our customers.
  • Build rapport with key decision makers.
  • Focus on reporting, volume planning, and forecasting using existing reporting tools for customer visits, contract management, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years' sales experience (distribution and/or manufacturer).
  • Automation sales experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrable success in advising on/selling technical products.
  • Highly motivated with infectious energy and passion.
  • Ability to create trust among dealers through long term, methodical, and persistent effort.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
