Full-time - Mid Level
San Francisco, CA
Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services

About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue and executing our sales methods in their designated geographical area. This role involves presenting our products to potential clients, identifying specific consumer characteristics, and recommending ways to promote and sell our products. Ultimately, the Area Sales Manager will help grow our customer base and establish our reputation in the assigned region. The position requires a proactive approach to meet or exceed sales quotas established for the territory, generating leads through cold calling both in person and over the phone, and addressing customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and additional services. In addition to direct sales activities, the Area Sales Manager will attend conventions to represent Alma Lasers and will be responsible for moving customers through the sales cycle. This includes creating and closing emotional sales opportunities, thriving in a fast-paced work environment, and managing multiple time-sensitive processes simultaneously. The role demands resilience in dealing with rejection and the ability to convert customer objections into sales. The Area Sales Manager will perform product demonstrations and leverage all available resources, including reference sites and clinical specialists, to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Area Sales Manager will work closely with other sales representatives to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach. Regular reporting to the Regional Sales Director regarding the status of leads and sales opportunities through the CRM database (Salesforce) is also a critical function. Building relationships with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other medical professionals is essential for success in this position, as is assisting in closing deals with Territory Sales Managers.
