The Area Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving the identification and adoption of new procedures for the Novalung system. This position requires a strategic approach to expand the use of the Novalung Extracorporeal Life Support technology by partnering with leadership, sales, marketing, and clinical specialists. The Area Sales Manager will focus on identifying and developing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance the adoption of this technology. Additionally, the role involves coaching, counseling, and training local sales representatives on how to effectively sell to specialists within their assigned hospital accounts. This is a unique opportunity for a senior-level sales professional who is dedicated to expanding the adoption of targeted users for the Novalung system. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing professional expertise and applying company policies and procedures to achieve projected quarterly sales goals for assigned Heart and Lung products. This includes creating business plans for their geography and implementing national sales strategies and programs. The manager must maintain accurate and timely reports, including sales calls, product market shares, demographics, and sales target reports. Participation in local and regional tradeshows, national sales meetings, and required training is also essential. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and company personnel while operating within an annual budget. In addition to achieving sales goals, the Area Sales Manager will develop strong professional relationships with customers, utilize the SAP Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool daily, and maintain timely management of customer contracts. The position also involves executing sales activities to support KOL development, conducting on-site and wet lab training, and leading advanced regional training programs. The manager will serve as a market intelligence liaison for marketing and training teams, conduct hospital and practice executive presentations, and analyze targeted specialty procedure trends to manage appropriately. This role may also include additional responsibilities focused on specific departments or locations as needed.
