About the position

The Area Sales Manager is a pivotal role within the Sales department, specifically focused on the Oil and Gas sector. This position is responsible for overseeing all sales-related activities within the assigned region, with a strong emphasis on delivering quality service, building relationships, and fostering customer loyalty. The ultimate goal is to drive increased revenue and enhance company profitability through effective sales strategies and customer engagement. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, the Area Sales Manager must possess a high level of knowledge and experience in engineered product sales, particularly within the Marcellus Basin Energy sector. This role requires a strong commitment to providing top-quality customer service, ensuring that customer satisfaction is prioritized throughout the sales process. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with global Oil and Gas teams and work within a project sales team, facilitating a coordinated effort to meet customer needs and successfully complete sales projects. In this dynamic environment, the Area Sales Manager will be expected to identify, create, and execute high-level marketing and business development activities that effectively position Rotork's products and services in the market. This includes mapping accounts to understand the core of the buying decision and working closely with allies and associates to ensure that the Rotork message aligns with company objectives. The role is integral to maintaining and expanding Rotork's market presence and reputation as a leader in flow control and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all sales-related activities within the assigned region.
  • Deliver quality service and build strong relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas sales, preferably in valve automation.
  • Engineering degree or technical diploma is an asset.
  • Strong existing business relations with customers at a senior management level in target industries.
  • Familiarity with techniques for coordinating the sale of products and services on capital projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
