About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for all sales-related activities within the assigned region, focusing on delivering quality, building relationships, and fostering loyalty with customers. This role is crucial in driving increased revenue and profitability for the company. The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Business Development Manager and is expected to possess a high level of knowledge and experience in engineered product sales, particularly within the Marcellus Basin Energy sector. A strong commitment to providing top-quality customer service is essential, as this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with global Oil and Gas teams and work within a project sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful completion of sales projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying, creating, and executing high-level marketing and business development activities that effectively position Rotork's products and services. This includes mapping accounts to understand the core of the buying decision and working closely with allies and associates to ensure that the Rotork message aligns with company objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to relationship building and sales efforts, aimed at enhancing customer loyalty and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales activities within the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with global Oil and Gas teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with project sales teams to complete sales projects successfully.
  • Identify and execute high-level marketing and business development activities.
  • Map accounts to understand the core of the buying decision.
  • Work with allies and associates to deliver the Rotork message in line with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas sales, preferably in valve automation.
  • Engineering degree or technical diploma is an asset.
  • Strong existing business relations with customers at a senior management level in target industries.
  • Familiarity with techniques required to coordinate the sale of products and services on capital projects.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project sales within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Strong diplomatic skills when dealing with staff, customers, and suppliers.
