About the position

The Area Sales Manager, OEM at ABB is responsible for managing a territory of OEM-focused salespeople and Independent Sales Representatives. This role aims to achieve volume growth, maintain customer satisfaction, and increase market share through effective customer relations and disciplined execution of the OEM strategy. The position is remote but candidates should be located in the Midwest territory, contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage OEM sales team covering district territories
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers
  • Plan and execute customer surveys and act on results to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Serve as escalation point for all OEM related decisions and participate in key contract negotiations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Senior Account Management experience
  • 10+ years of experience managing sales teams
  • Understanding of the full portfolio of products and services, including power distribution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the electrical industry and ABB products
