About the position

As a Front Desk Agent at Holiday Inn Express Moreno Valley, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding guest service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and registering guests, managing reservations, and performing hotel operator and concierge duties. You will be the first point of contact for guests, and your ability to deliver exceptional service will significantly impact their experience during their stay. You will be expected to maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times, ensuring that guests feel valued and appreciated from the moment they arrive until they check out. In this role, you will also be responsible for handling guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions. You will need to be knowledgeable about the hotel’s offerings, including rates, packages, and special promotions, to provide accurate information to guests. Additionally, you will manage the telephone switchboard, ensuring that all calls are answered promptly and courteously. Your ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure will be essential, as you will often be required to handle multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service. You will also be tasked with ensuring the proper operation of the Front Desk computer system, handling check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and logging and delivering packages and messages as needed. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with other departments within the hotel to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Overall, your commitment to providing excellent service and your attention to detail will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth process for guests.
  • Manage reservations, including making and modifying bookings as needed.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to guests.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and standards at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, and assist guests accordingly.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be effective at listening to and understanding issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
