This role is crucial in meeting the orders and sales goals for accounts served directly and through distribution. The ASM will engage heavily in new customer prospecting and early customer engagement, supported by a regional Applications Engineer who will assist in demonstrating and educating customers on technical details and training related to core products. The position requires establishing daily and weekly prospecting processes to develop a new customer pipeline while managing the next steps in the pipeline to close and execute new business. Proficiency in the Control Techniques Variable Frequency Drives and Motors portfolio, including the KB Electronics brand, is essential. The ASM will conduct daily sales appointments with existing and prospective customers to promote Control Techniques Drives and Motion Control solutions, ensuring they meet established in-person KPIs on a monthly basis, which will be recorded in Salesforce CRM. The ASM will develop and maintain a sales plan for their assigned territory/accounts that meets or exceeds the orders plan and grows market share. New business development of target accounts is a key activity, and the ASM will support assigned distributors with joint sales calls and training to amplify efforts and drive growth in the territory. The role also involves assisting the Inside Sales Team with the day-to-day management of established channels and keeping current on all company products from a technical, application, pricing, and selling benefits standpoint. The ASM will prepare monthly sales forecasts and target account pipeline updates, generate and present written quotations and proposals, and demonstrate company standard demo equipment to train customers on applications, features, and benefits of products.
