About the position

The Area Sales Manager for Print on Demand at Fujifilm is responsible for achieving sales targets within specific market segments and technologies. This role involves planning and executing sales strategies, overseeing the development of new business, and maintaining existing client relationships to enhance the company's market share in the competitive toner press market. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located on the west coast near a major airport.

Responsibilities

  • Implement company sales strategy, including sales method, tracking, and monitoring.
  • Provide direction and assist direct reports in the development and execution of plans and strategies for penetrating and developing profitable sales volumes in assigned specialty product markets.
  • Assist staff in identifying new accounts, prospects, sales calls, and preparing and presenting business proposals for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and train Digital Print Specialist skill sets on a continuous basis to ensure cost-effective achievement of sales objectives and budgets.
  • Build and maintain valuable business relationships with key customers and prospects, positioning Fujifilm as a valued business partner.
  • Provide up-to-date information regarding market trends, developments, customer and competitor activity, and prepare reports as required.
  • Develop and implement product sample policies in collaboration with the VP of Digital Solutions Sales and respective Marketing Product manager.
  • Teach, reinforce, and demonstrate value-added relationship selling practices within the sales team.
  • Control territory costs within established budget levels for T&E, auto, IT, consigned equipment, sample product, and other areas as determined by the company.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Manage administration and relevant reporting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and company functions as requested.
  • Champion an environment that reflects Fujifilm's values.
  • Perform duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5+ years sales experience in Graphics/Printing and Capital Expenditures Industry
  • 5+ years sales and territory management
  • Minimum of 2 years team lead or supervisory experience
  • Ability to work with a high level of integrity and with minimal supervision
  • Extensive knowledge of the graphic communication industry
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Ability to see and solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Solid understanding of commercial offset printing processes, applications, equipment, technologies, markets and competition
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills (product management, support, sales, service, and management)
  • Ability to interact with and influence various levels of management within accounts
  • Developed consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills
  • Effective meeting planning/execution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • Essential communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel 60-70%
