About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for providing hands-on sales expertise for designated assisted living communities. This role involves collaborating with Executive Directors to effectively utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database, ensuring it is kept current. The primary goal is to meet or exceed budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue targets by fostering professional relationships and educating referral sources about services offered. The position also includes facilitating the move-in process and maintaining relationships with organizations related to senior housing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on sales expertise for appointed communities.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database effectively.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with organizations associated with senior housing.
  • Facilitate the move-in process for new residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Communications preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Retirement Community, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Assisted Living, preferably with Alzheimer's/Dementia Care.
  • 3-5 years of proven direct sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Rules and Regulations for the Community and applicable move-in and move-out regulations.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and spokesperson.
  • Computer literate.
